The beacon situated atop the MLC Building, at the corner of George and Adelaide Streets in Brisbane, provides both temperature and weather forecasts.
The display is regulated by remote control,with information provided by the Bureau of Meteorology.

The upper section of the beacon indicates the temperature forecast.
